Community & Cultural Healing Workshops

Healing Through Culture: Land-Based Wellness
Reconnect with the land through traditional teachings, ceremonies, and guided reflection. Participants explore identity, healing, and belonging using seasonal practices and cultural knowledge. Suitable for individuals, youth, families, and community groups.

 

Understanding Intergenerational Trauma
A powerful workshop exploring how colonial policies, residential schools, and systemic barriers have impacted Indigenous families. Participants will reflect on their own healing journeys and how cultural reconnection can interrupt cycles of trauma.

 

Lateral Violence in the Workplace
This 2-hour session addresses the root causes of lateral violence, internalized oppression, and competition in Indigenous workspaces. Participants will learn strategies for creating safer, more supportive community environments based in relational accountability.

 

Parenting After Addiction
A supportive, culturally informed space for parents in recovery. Explore tools for rebuilding relationships with children, managing triggers, and creating a healing family environment through both Western tools and traditional teachings.

 

Grief & Loss: A Cultural Approach
This gentle, sacred session supports those grieving loved ones, lost identity, or disconnection from culture. Teachings on the life cycle, ceremonies for grief, and the importance of collective healing are offered with Elder guidance.

 

Reclaiming the Sacred Bundle: Family Healing Circles
Family members of all ages are invited to engage in shared healing through cultural teachings, storytelling, and ceremony. Especially suited for families experiencing disconnection, past involvement in care systems, or intergenerational trauma.

 

Youth Empowerment Circles
A safe, inspiring space for Indigenous youth to explore leadership, emotional wellness, and cultural identity. Activities include talking circles, drumming, arts-based expression, and land-based teachings.

 

Professional Development & Training Workshops

 

Cultural Safety & Indigenous Wellness in Practice
For social workers, educators, health professionals, and service providers. This training builds knowledge of Indigenous history, cultural protocols, and how to deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed care.

 

Two-Eyed Seeing in Mental Health
Learn how Indigenous and Western worldviews can work together to support wellness. This workshop introduces “two-eyed seeing” as a method for integrating ceremony, relational healing, and clinical tools in therapeutic practice.

 

Decolonizing Practice: Indigenous Approaches to Helping
An advanced workshop exploring how to decolonize social work, education, or healthcare settings. Participants learn how to center Indigenous knowledge, dismantle harmful systems, and engage with community in respectful and reciprocal ways.

 

Trauma-Informed Practice with Indigenous Communities
This session supports professionals in understanding trauma through a cultural lens, including the legacy of colonialism. Learn how to hold space with humility, and provide safe, grounded services in complex environments.

 

Working with Indigenous Youth & Families
A deep dive into strengths-based, culturally relevant engagement with Indigenous families. Ideal for child welfare, mental health, education, and justice professionals working in cross-cultural or rural/remote settings.

 

Supporting Indigenous Clients in Recovery
Explore how traditional healing, ceremony, and cultural identity support recovery journeys. Includes teachings on cultural harm reduction, spiritual wellness, and how to walk beside clients in strength and non-judgement.
